DraftCheck recognizes headings using formatting and style cues:

• Entire phrase is ALL CAPS
• First character is bold, italic, or underlined
• Phrase is formatted as a Title, Subtitle, or Heading (1–3)
• And it’s not part of an ordered or unordered list

This helps DraftCheck accurately separate true headings from regular content or numbered clauses.

How they are detected:
DraftCheck detects provisions based on list numbering or manual indexing patterns such as:

• 1., 1.2, 1-2
• A., AB., a., ab.
• (1), (12), (123)
• (A), (AB), (a), (aa), (bb)

Nesting (indentation):
Hierarchy is inferred either from actual list nesting or from detected structure - giving you a clear, tree-like organization of your document.
