Exciting News: DraftCheck v2.9 is Here!

Big things are on the horizon, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! While we’re gearing up for some major feature rollouts in the coming weeks, we couldn’t resist giving you a little teaser of what’s to come. So today, we’re excited to announce the release of DraftCheck v2.9!

This update may be a point release, but it’s packed with meaningful enhancements designed to make your work smoother, smarter, and more efficient. Let’s dive into what’s new in v2.9 and why you should be just as excited as we are!

What’s New in DraftCheck v2.9?

 Introducing the “Potential Redline Issues” Section

We all know that redlines are an essential part of any negotiation process. However, they can sometimes create unintended consequences—especially in lengthy, complex documents. That’s where our new feature comes in!

With the “Potential Redline Issues” section on the Review Screen, we’re taking a proactive approach to help you catch those tricky errors before they become costly mistakes. Here’s how it works:

• Redline Cross-Reference Alerts: Any changes that impact cross-references—like numbering adjustments, paragraph moves, additions, or deletions—will now be flagged for your attention.
• Smarter Issue Detection: By identifying these potential problem areas upfront, you can ensure your documents remain accurate and polished throughout the negotiation process.

This is just the beginning of our journey to make redline management smarter and more intuitive. Our goal with DraftCheck is simple: to give you the tools to produce flawless work every time.

With a quick click of a button, you can navigate and see if the redline has a domino affect on a cross-reference.  This will make it easier to identify changes and avoid any costly incorrect cross-references.

Specifically we highlight the following:

a. If Paragraph numbering has been changed by addition or deletion of a paragraph → Cross References to paragraphs with new indices are included to Potential Redline Issues

b. If a paragraph moves, switches places, or is merged with another paragraph and therefore the text is changed from one location to another→ Cross References to paragraphs with new indices are included to Potential Redline Issues.

c. If a paragraph is split into 2 sections → Cross-references to paragraphs with new indices are included to Potential Redline Issues.

d. If a paragraph is changed more than 75% → Cross-References  are included into Potential Redline Issues to ensure that the paragraph’s reference is still appropriate

 Bug Fixes & Refinements

We’ve also been hard at work fine-tuning DraftCheck to ensure it performs better than ever:

• Improved Cross-Reference Handling: We’ve addressed edge cases where cross-references were formatted in unconventional ways, ensuring more reliable identification and tracking.
• Streamlined Display: We’ve cleaned up how information is presented so you can focus on what matters most—getting your work done quickly and efficiently.

These small but mighty changes are all part of our commitment to continuous improvement and delivering a product that truly works for you.
