Big things are on the horizon, and we couldnât be more thrilled! While weâre gearing up for some major feature rollouts in the coming weeks, we couldnât resist giving you a little teaser of whatâs to come. So today, weâre excited to announce the release of DraftCheck v2.9!
This update may be a point release, but itâs packed with meaningful enhancements designed to make your work smoother, smarter, and more efficient. Letâs dive into whatâs new in v2.9 and why you should be just as excited as we are!
Whatâs New in DraftCheck v2.9?
Introducing the âPotential Redline Issuesâ Section
We all know that redlines are an essential part of any negotiation process. However, they can sometimes create unintended consequencesâespecially in lengthy, complex documents. Thatâs where our new feature comes in!
With the âPotential Redline Issuesâ section on the Review Screen, weâre taking a proactive approach to help you catch those tricky errors before they become costly mistakes. Hereâs how it works:
- Redline Cross-Reference Alerts: Any changes that impact cross-referencesâlike numbering adjustments, paragraph moves, additions, or deletionsâwill now be flagged for your attention.
- Smarter Issue Detection: By identifying these potential problem areas upfront, you can ensure your documents remain accurate and polished throughout the negotiation process.
This is just the beginning of our journey to make redline management smarter and more intuitive. Our goal with DraftCheck is simple: to give you the tools to produce flawless work every time.
With a quick click of a button, you can navigate and see if the redline has a domino affect on a cross-reference. This will make it easier to identify changes and avoid any costly incorrect cross-references.
Specifically we highlight the following:
a. If Paragraph numbering has been changed by addition or deletion of a paragraph â Cross References to paragraphs with new indices are included to Potential Redline Issues
b. If a paragraph moves, switches places, or is merged with another paragraph and therefore the text is changed from one location to anotherâ Cross References to paragraphs with new indices are included to Potential Redline Issues.
c. If a paragraph is split into 2 sections â Cross-references to paragraphs with new indices are included to Potential Redline Issues.
d. If a paragraph is changed more than 75% â Cross-References are included into Potential Redline Issues to ensure that the paragraphâs reference is still appropriate
Bug Fixes & Refinements
Weâve also been hard at work fine-tuning DraftCheck to ensure it performs better than ever:
- Improved Cross-Reference Handling: Weâve addressed edge cases where cross-references were formatted in unconventional ways, ensuring more reliable identification and tracking.
- Streamlined Display: Weâve cleaned up how information is presented so you can focus on what matters mostâgetting your work done quickly and efficiently.
These small but mighty changes are all part of our commitment to continuous improvement and delivering a product that truly works for you.
Whatâs Next? The Best Is Yet to Come!
While v2.9 is an exciting step forward, let me tell youâweâre just getting started! Some groundbreaking updates are right around the corner, and Iâm practically bursting with excitement to share them with you soon. Stay tuned for announcements that will take DraftCheck to the next level!
